Greenfield Puppies Reviews
We love dogs and people and people with dogs.
I got my English Mastiff, Vito from Michael Brown in Lebanon, PA. I was very impressed with initial contact with Michael. He spent a lot of time on the phone and sent photos of the pups. His house was immaculate and the pups were very healthy and happy. Vito is a year old now, my veterinarian is so happy with his health. Michael has been in very frequent contact with me to check on Vito’s progress. I would NOT hesitate to get another pup from Michael.
My husband and I have now bought 2 Jack Russell terriers through Greenfield puppies from Ella and they are the best behaved and even tempered dogs I have met and they’re both gorgeous one is 1.5years old(Sasha) and the other is 12 weeks old (Abby) and it was a pleasure to work with Ella!Rachael Taylor

We adopted Anna the little sheltie. Ppickup end of March this year. Just wanted to let everyone know she is doing very well. Very intelligent and fast learner. Picks things up quickly and amazingly on her own. She is doing very well with her brothers both collies who are older. Yes she has taken charge. She is now 16 inches long, 14 plus inches high and weighs in at 26lbs. Loves to eat. Please tell Jacob we thank him for the opportunity. We were hoping to stop by this past summer but travels delayed us. All pets travel with us. But hopefully early next spring.
Hope everyone has a safe Thanksgiving.
We purchased a shorkie (shih tzu/Yorkie) on April 8, 2017. His original name was cinnamon but we changed his name to Oso meaning bear in Spanish. He got him from Lebanon PA. Oso is now 9 months old and he is really spoiled and really smart! My daughter teaches him lots of things and he was just a perfect match to our family. The day we got him, he was only 5 lbs and now he is 20 lbs!! He’s our baby and we can thank the the original owner Glendon enough!! Thank you
I purchased a shorkie puppy Macey this past Saturday from John Beiler from Paradise, PA and his mother Emma. We had a wonderful experience and got the best dog ever. She is an angel. I left a positive review on BBB. FYI. Your service made our entire family extremely happy. No one can believe we just got her because she is so well behaved. I contribute that to her having been raised in a very caring and social environment. (To be fair to any other potential puppy parents, she did have ear mites and intestinal parasites but very treatable as per her official vet visit yesterday.) When a consumer embarks on this type of journey, there is a lot of skepticism due to the negative publicity associated with breeding versus adoption. It is expensive and you want to be treated fairly and honestly. I feel that the listing was straight forward as far as the picture being accurate (and adorable), the price was accurate (plus sales tax) and the description was accurate. I felt like we put ourselves out there and took a chance and got the perfect puppy! Thank you. Marci M.Marci Mastej
I’m so pleased with Dollar that I bought from David Stoltzfus. I’m so glad I met him and his family and was able to purchase that beautiful puppy. She is adjusting very well here in Virginia and loves her brother Diesel. Once again thank you so much for letting her go and God bless you David and your family.Lorella Giguere
we had been looking for a puppy for our girls for a while and decided we wanted a yorkie bichon mix. a friend had used greenfield so i decided to look at what was available. we found our puppy through moses glick of rising sun maryland and couldnt be happier with our new baby. she has a wonderful temperament, she is very playful and full of healthy energy. it was clear from the moment we visited her and her siblings that they were well taken care of and it did not take long for her to acclimate to our family. would recommend moses, and greenfield, to anyone .
We picked up Jewel in January 2017 from breeder Benjamin Stoltzfus of Honey Brook, PA and thus began the road home to a journey of happiness, love and a dedicated companion. Jewel is more than we thought possible. This little Yorkie-poo has personality plus. She is so intelligent and quick to learn. Friendly disposition with all she meets. Obedience school only made her greater. Still needs to improve her walking habits as she is curious about everything from ground level to airplanes in the sky. Travels well and stays at home when necessary, not happy about it but she greets us unconditionally when we return home to rescue her. Her 1st birthday comes up this week, hard to believe for she is quite the playful puppy as she was when she first came home. Lots of toys and lots of playtime with her makes one happy puppy. She’s definitely our “Jewel”!
I would like to tell you about our Mia, formally known as Sally, that we got from Mark Hershberger in Ohio. We traveled several hours from Buffalo to pick her up and it was well worth the trip. When we arrived, she was bathed and waiting for us in a crate in an impeccable home and yard. We were able to meet both of her parents, as well as her siblings and see where they all were living. You can tell that the pups as well as their horses and bird have all had the best of attention.
Mia is as beautiful as she is bright and sweet. She must have the best of both of her parents so any siblings or future litters would result in dogs who are good natured, loving and easily trainable. She is extremely healthy and in the two months since we’ve had her, she has become a very significant member of our family.
We would highly recommend Mark to anyone and hope that all of her siblings find loving homes. Thank you Mark and we promise to stay in touch!
I found the Greenfield Puppies site while searching for Shichon puppies online. I came across this beautiful fluff of fur who surprisingly happened to be named Margie (which is my name) and was born the day after my birthdate…..it was meant to be. I called Elizabeth King in Paradise, PA and told her my name was Margie and she told me that she picked that name in honor of a wonderful neighbor she once had. I drove over 2 hours from New Jersey and had planned to see other dogs but when I held Margie, I instantly fell in love. Elizabeth was such a lovely person and all the puppies were so healthy. We renamed her Bella (because she’s so beautiful), she’s now 4 months old and is the joy of our lives!! My only regret is not taking another one.Margie
We adopted Alvin, a Soft Coat Wheaten Terrier, in mid August from John in Honeybrook, PA. Alvin is our first puppy and he has done nothing but bring smiles to our faces since he came to our home. We could not have asked for a better experience!Megan, Tim and Cole
My husband lost his dad in December 2016 and in February 2017 we lost our German shepherd, Jake. My husband had been talking about getting another German shepherd puppy. Then we heard about Greenfield puppies. My niece was looking for a puppy for her uncle. So I stsrted searching for German Shepherd puppies on the site looking at puppies to get an idea for puppy names. In my search I came across Brayden and as soon as I seen him I knew he was the puppy my husband would love to get. So I contacted the breeder and left a message and he called later that evening and made arrangements to go to get him 2 days later. However my niece and her sister called as well and went the next day to get him as a surprise for their Uncle, whose birthday was the following week. My husband was extremely surprised and happy with his surprise! Brayden who is now called Colt is almost 11 months old and he is a big boy and very smart. The breeder did a great job with him. He already knew a few commands at only 3 months. We love him and are happy with how everything went. Would definitely recommend ttcricketboard.com again.
We had an awesome experience getting our boy!! We found his picture online one night and decided he had to be ours!! I called Sylvan S. (Narvon PA) at about 7:00 pm, he answered right away and we set up a time the next morning to go get him. We had a bout a two hour drive from Maryland but it was a beautiful ride and we were so excited! The house was easy to find. The kids greeted us and got Sylvan so he could get our pup for us to take a look at.
You know in super hero movies how they do that pose with their chests puffed out? Their hands on their hips looking all studly and proud? This little fur ball looked like Superman man as he ran out of the barn and posted up on the edge of the walkway. He basically said “here I am in all my gloriousness, look how amazing I am.” Always, we got to see him play with Sylvan’s son, meeting him was as easy as cake. You could tell he wasn’t super stoked about new people but he was easy going and confident. He seemed comfortable in his surroundings. I would have expect more timid and nervous behavior if this was one of those dreaded “puppy mills” (boo hisss baahhh).
We were 99.9% sure this was our new dog. We just needed to see mom and dad. This was the one stopping point for us. If we hadn’t been able to see his mom and dad we would have had to pass. Sylvan, bless this man, had to go round them up cause they had been up at the barn showing horses with him. Does that sound like a puppy mill? So not only do we get to meet Long Horn’s mom and dad but his aunti as well. Again, awesome temperament by all. His mom was playing with him and lovin’ on us, dad was checking us out and playing with the pup and they were all four playing in the snow with the kids. It was perfect.
And that folks is how we ended up with our Waylon, once known as Long Horn. I know it’s long winded story but I can’t speak highly enough of how wonderful of an experience it was. Sylvan had all the necessary paperwork ready for us, necessary shot records, he let us know what kind of food Waylon was eating so we could do a slow transition to our own brand. We got to see what good stock our pup came from. And most importantly Waylon was/is/has been healthy. No worms, no fleas, no bugs. Which is astronomically impressive considering he grew up on a farm.
Our little boy will be 2 years old in December and I can’t thank Greenfield Puppies and Sylvan S. enough for connecting us to this ball of energy. He has literally traveled coast to coast with me and my other fur baby Nalah (true story, at 7 months old he drove cross country with me). Our lives wouldn’t be the same without him. So, front the bottom of my heart, thank you!
My family has always wanted a dog so when we decided to take the puppy plunge I started checking the internet and low and behold there was Greenfield Puppies I called the breeder and went to pick up our new boy….mother was on site and the place the puppies were staying was clean and we’ll maintained….we couldn’t be more happy with our fresh new boy Norman!Lyn Schreiner
Hi Christiann Stoltzfus, my husband and I wanted to let you know how Bethany is doing. We have named her Maggie Mae Izotic and she is the most loveable puppy. She is very happy and healthy and loves her new sister. Thank you so much for starting her life with so much love. We knew she was well taken care of. She is very smart. She is potty trained and learned the command sit. We are so happy we made the long trip to meet her and bring her home with us. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!Sharon K Izotic
Our beloved mini dachshund passed away about a year ago after 15 wonderful years. It took us awhile but we were ready to bring a new Doxie into our lives. We were looking for a dapple and searched for quite awhile. I finally found Greenfield Puppies and was delighted to see that a Breeder in East Earl, PA actually had three dapple babies. We called Me Louis Shirk and asked if we could come meet the babies the following Saturday. We needed to be there early in the morning and Me Shirk said he would make sure he was available to meet us. Louis, his wife and their brand new Baby were delightful. They brought the whole litter out to play with us. The 3 dapples were gorgeous! They were socialized and very sweet. It was difficult to choose but one but the Shirks told us to take as much time as we needed. He was kind enough to allow us to be the first ones to see the litter and allowed us to chose the pick of the litter for us! We held and played with the 3 dapples for well over an hourSherri Wertz
Before finally choosing our little girl! I must say our experience with the Shirls and Greenfield was wonderful!
Little Lyric is an absolute joy! Beauty and brains! She’s so smart! We are extremely happy with her and we would highly recommend Greenfield to anyone looking for a happy, healthy, we socialized puppy! It was an awesome experience.
We were searching for a dobie, after lots of searching and finding nothing, I came across this website. I was very impressed with the professionalism and the Breeder was so responsive. We drove from Maine to Lancaster, PA. We went to meet the puppies and then stayed in a hotel and picked our Baxter up in the morning for the trip home. He has been a joy ever since. I will definitely come back to this site should we decide to increase our family again.
We were looking for a Dalmatian pup. After searching here in Canada, we gave up hope trying to find one. I decided to venture across the border and see if there were any pups available that were close to Southern Ontario. I happened upon the Greenfield Puppies website. First I have to say I love that you can look for your specific breed. So many websites show breeders with pups available, but then you click on the site and it was from 2015, so frustrating! We saw some pictures of some pups located in Strasburg, PA. It just so happened that we were travelling to Adamstown that weekend for a weekend away. The pups were only a half hour away from where we were staying. I contacted Mike, the breeder and we set up a date to meet. We arrived at a lovely farm up on a hill, what a view this place had! We were greeted by Mike and five little wagging tails. We instantly fell in love, but knew a pup had to pick us. Mike was so patient and understood that having a pup pick up was very important. We had a great chat with him and played with the pups for over an hour. We got to meet Mom and Dad as well. There was one little girl that just kept coming back to us, we knew that she needed to come home with us. I must say after reading some rather bad reviews, I would give Mike five stars. All of the pups were happy and healthy. They were bright and clean and ready to play. They all had an affection for Mike, and followed him wherever he went. The grounds were clean and well cared for as well. Our pup had all of her current shots and had been dewormed. She is healthy and happy and adjusting well to her new life in Canada. We are so happy that we decided to meet Mike and his pups. His patience and understanding were very much appreciated. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a Dalmatian.Stacey Brock
Hi, In October of 2016 we lost our Standard Poodle Zeus. I knew that we would always have at least 2 dogs so I didn’t want to morn long over the loss of Zeus. I instead started looking on the net for a nice diversion and found Greefield Puppies. There we saw Carramia and fell in love. She was/is beautiful. We called the breeder, John King in Pennsylvania, and left New Jersey to see her. It was a ride but well worth it.
John King is a very nice man and he went to bring out our girl. Oh, was she stunning and prettier than in her picture. She was friendly, and she came to us to be petted and doted on. What a find! It was obvious that John had his pups well socialized. She gave us kisses and went to my friend Joe for more attention. John explained the paperwork, and we read and signed the papers. We were now the proud owners of a Beautiful Doberman Pup!
That was a year ago this month, Halloween to be exact. She turned out to be one of the best dogs we’ve ever had. She gives kisses, hugs (if you can believe that); she stands up, puts a paw on each shoulder and give loads of kisses. We encouraged it and now when we say “Give me huggems” she does this.
John, what can I say about John Miller other than he has wonderful dogs/pups and he is an honest man. He loves his animals and it shows. Thanks John for a wonderful addition to our home!
Regards, Patrick Miller & Joseph NicklasPatrick M Miller

In 2015, we decided to look at puppies and were immediately drawn to the silver lab breed. We used the Greenfield Puppies website, to find a local Breeder. Overall, the process of using the website, meeting the breeder, choosing a puppy, and coming back at the 8 week mark to pick him up went absolutely perfect. From making the initial deposit, Steve Kauffman of Honey Brook, PA (the breeder) was so very patient and nice to us, including when we got there really late and it was dark and rainy. But he patiently retrieved some flashlights and an umbrella (and even delayed his dinner) to get the job done so we could get our guy home that night. I can’t say enough about how kind and accommodating the Kauffman family was for us, and I got the impression that it wasn’t just a show – they are simply just that nice. The only concern I had at the time was that we never got to see the father, although I didn’t think too much of it, since the explanation made sense to me – the dog was his cousin’s and not his. But this was likely a big mistake on my part… (More on that below.)
Fast Forward to today: As I am writing this, my big guy turns 2 years old in about a month (his litter birthday listed as October 28, 2105). We wouldn’t trade him for anything or anyone! He is the most loving, people-friendly, and even-tempered dog I have ever had, and he’s gotten quite a reputation and following in the neighborhood – everybody knows him, and many people will specifically take their daily walk past our house in the cul-de-sac, always taking a few minutes to stop and say “hi” to him on their way through. He really does stand out – whether on his own or with others, and one of the main reasons for that is his sheer size and mass makes you think he’d be less affectionate and more aggressive.
Which brings me to my main problem – We asked for, and were sold, a puppy listed as an American Labrador Retriever, Black with dilute recessive d gene (A so-called “Silver Lab”). And – I fully understood the risks and such associated with the particular dog breed. I expected that a mature adult American Labrador Retriever would weigh-in at around 75 or 80 pounds at a maximum.
Now, at 18 months old, you cannot convince me that this dog is an American Labrador, although he clearly has Lab in him. I am personally convinced that he is actually a Mastador – a lab/mastiff mix that’s been around for many decades (Disney’s Old Yeller back in ’57 was a Mastador). Why? Well… For starters, at his vet visit today, he weighed in at 161lbs. He is still growing at a rate of about 3-5 pounds a month.
Consider some of his other physical measurements and you decide:
From his withers, he measures 28” high and 28” long. Plus, he’s got 43” chest circumference and 24” Collar Size. Ultimately, as he has matured, his features have grown to resemble the pictures and descriptions of the Mastador breed appearance with almost perfect representation – right down to the sheer size difference and characteristic head shape (wider head, shorter snout than Lab). And – perhaps as more proof, he has a thicker, coarser, and more darkish “Mohawk” looking fur line that runs down his back and is very noticeable as his excitement level grows and that hair begins to stand up. This is usually when he is excited, his bark vocabulary is noticeably varied depending on his mood or state of mind, which is also characteristic in Mastadors.
So – my big disappointment is that I wish I would have known what I was getting. There’s no way I can think of that this would be some kind of accident. It’s more likely that the “absent father” was really a Mastiff, which is why he wasn’t there to see. It turned out as a very lucky thing for the dog, too – because I happen to have some property and a 5 bedroom house to live in. I don’t think I could have kept him if we didn’t have the extra room available. He’s a giant breed dog with all the needs and necessaries that come along with them. It would have broken hearts across the household to have to get rid of him, especially since the breeder had to know about this – he has the clear textbook appearance of an equal 50/50 Mastiff/Labrador mix. I see no point in going back to Mr. Kauffman, the dog is already part of our family and we wouldn’t part with him now unless we absolutely had to. But I do want to inform other future customers if there’s any chance they might read this…
The pic I posted with this is him at just 13 months and already north of 120 pounds, with his favorite 5 year old playmate behind him.Ren Baker
On Saturday afternoon September 16 2017 my family drove out to Wooster Ohio to get our new puppy. He is a beabull dog he’s smart and he has three other siblings that still need a home. Nate Hostetler was awesome and patient with me if I had the room for another one I would get another one.Kristen
This past Thursday we drove to Drumore, Pennsylvania to bring home our male nine week old German Shepherd puppy named Gus, now we call him Dillon. We had not seen him in person, but had talked to his breeder Amos Glick by telephone. Amos was so helpful and friendly and a pleasure to work with. He stayed in touch all the way. Our puppy is beautiful, friendly and smart. Everything you could wish for in a puppy and Amos was a wonderful man to work with and he has a lovely family and farm.. If you are looking for a German Shepherd puppy, find one of his puppies on this website and give Amos a call!
We bought Moses from the sweetest couple in Bernville, PA. I want to thank Jen Miller and her husband they had the most amazing patience with me and my family. I mustve called her about a 1000 times within that week looking for a puppy. She was very honest and told me which puppy my family would like the most and she was ABSOLUTELY right. We went to see 3 different puppies and as she said over the phone I fell in love with MOSES. Moses is a miniature australian shepherd he is so sweet and very playful. He loves playing with my kids . I can’t wait for our new bundle of joy to arrive and meet him. I tell all my friends and family how AWESOME Jen was and tell them if they are ever looking for a puppy that they should look on this website and search for Jen Miller, she is amazing.Stephanie Castro
i absolutely adore Tara Coman. she is the breeder we brought our Shiba Inu pup from. from the moment that i contacted her about the puppy she has be very responsive. sending pictures and videos, and also just answering any general question i had no matter how stupid it may have sounded. (Even now that i have the pup) i really commend her for her professionalism and just everything. she really did try her hardest to work out an agreement with me. from the conversations we had daily i can really tell she cared more for the pup then she did for the money. i can assure you that we love this pup with all our heart and she definitely came to the right home. i just want to say again and again how much of a blessed and generous soul Tara Coman is.Stephanie Fleming
