The Miniature Bernese Mountain Dog is a cross between the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and the Bernese Mountain Dog. While it is not a registered purebred, it has a similar look to the Bernese purebreds in most cases. The advantage of this breed is the decreased size compared to the purebred Bernese.
A standard Bernese will weigh anywhere between 70 and 110 pounds. When crossing these breeds, you can expect a full grown “Mini Bernese Mountain Dog” to weigh between 35 and 65 pounds in the majority of cases, giving you a much smaller breed requiring less space than its larger counterpart. This is becoming a popular designer breed much like the Bernedoodle and other Bernese crosses. To learn more about each breed in this mix, check out their respective breed pages.
